Electric Toothbrush Giveaway- $160 Value {IL Residents Only}

Many parents don’t know that children should visit the dentist within six months of getting the first tooth – and no later than the first birthday. In fact, Illinois children don’t visit the dentist, on average, until they are 3 ½ years old.

A visit by age 1 allows you and your child to develop a relationship with a dentist, which can help set a foundation for good oral health and detect potential dental problems before they progress. Your little one could have pain in one of his or her teeth, but may be too young to tell you.

The Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation is kicking off “Dentist by 1”, a statewide public service campaign to educate parents about the benefits of taking their children to the dentist by age 1 and to encourage them to schedule a visit.

In conjunction with the campaign, the Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation is offering one of my readers an electric toothbrush ($160 value) to help promote good oral health! (Open to Illinois residents only)

Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser Review

I recently shared a review of Waterpik’s SinuSense that my mom loved using and now I want to share about another product they make called the Ultra Water Flosser. It is 50% more effective than just using thread floss and has been proven to remove 99.9% of plaque. Having never used water to floss before I did not really think this product would be that effective. Once I tried it though I loved it and don’t think I’ll ever go back to regular old floss. It was easy to use and, after flossing with it, my teeth felt smooth and clean. I didn’t feel any leftover particles on my teeth like I normally do after flossing.

I thought the design of the flosser was great. It had a large water capacity so it didn’t need to be refilled while flossing. The in-lid storage space for the six different tips was nice. I liked that there were a variety of tips, each with their own purpose. It even came with a tongue cleaner to freshen breath. There are 10 pressure settings so that each person can customize the cleansing level of the flosser. The water flosser is quiet so I don’t have to worry about it’s loud noise waking anyone up when I floss late at night before bed.

Find out more about Waterpik’s Ultra Water Flosser on their website, Twitter, or Facebook.
